Liberate Your Spine : Backbend Exploration with Sita, Oct 8 (Singapore)

Raffles Place
Sunday, October 8, 2017
9am - 12pm

Backbending often brings up strong emotions when students first begin to practice them more regularly as well as when they go deeper. Sometimes the most flexible students are the ones who have the most troubling emotions arise when they start practicing backbends! It usually does not really matter whether you are flexible or stiff in your spine; it's more important that you familiarise yourself with the strength, stamina and flexibility needed for most backbending movements.

Healthy techniques and anatomical awareness are crucial to the long term practice of backbends, and it takes lots of practice before you will feel confident to integrate a full backbend sequence into your daily practice.

In this workshop, Sita will impart safe techniques on how to lift and bend through different parts of body by going through various backbending asanas, including drop-backs.
