Pre and Post Yoga Beauty Tips by Tribe Natural Beauty

Yoga is not only beneficial for the body and mind, but for your largest organ, the skin. Healthy skin comes from within so staying hydrated prior to a class is vital. 

I like to start yoga with a fresh, clean face allowing it to breath and detox throughout the class. For me, cleaning my face is the beginning of my practice and I take my time to cleanse the day away. If I am pressed for time prior to class, wiping over with Micellar Cleansing Water or natural face wipes are a fast and simple alternative.

The increased blood supply from warm yoga brings oxygen and nutrients to the skin, which leaves you looking glowing and radiant. Support this by cleansing thoroughly after class. Replenish your skin with a hydrating mist which can also help with any redness or flushing and apply moisturiser to lock in the goodness!

Extra oil produced during hot yoga, whilst nourishing, can be pore clogging, so I recommend incorporating some form of exfoliation into your skincare routine once to twice per week. I love gentle granular scrubs or for skin that can tolerate something stronger, serums containing Alpha Hydroxy Acids and Beta Hydroxy Acids (fruit acids) are great to gently break down dead skin.
